Hi, I’m Adam — the person behind Steep and Pour. I started this site because I got tired of paying $7 for a mediocre matcha latte and decided to figure out how to make better ones at home.

What started as a matcha obsession has grown into a genuine love of Japanese tea culture — sencha, gyokuro, hojicha, genmaicha — and more recently, specialty coffee. This site is where I share what I’ve learned: how to brew, what to buy, and why the details matter.

Everything here is based on hands-on experience. When I recommend a product, it’s because I’ve used it. When I explain a technique, it’s one I’ve tested in my own kitchen.
